Feb 15, 2007 · I just replaced the heating element in my dryer today. The dryer had previously been turning but not heating. I tested the resistance on the element and it gave a reading of infinite resistance. I put the new element in connecting the wires as they were originally. I turned the dryer on and it heated up - but when I opened the dryer drawer I noticed that the element was glowing RED.
