Whether this is the cause of the heating element failing I have no idea. Really disappointed in the quality of this dryer. My model is less than 3 years old, with average use. The heating element and idler shouldnt be going bad this quickly. If/when my replacement element burns out, Im buying a new dryer (not Samsung).
